All about my (proto) Hike-Use

The prototype Hike-Use in size “59” that I have ridden for the last 2 years now described here is actually a 3rd generation proto-model. The 1st and 2nd generation prototypes will maybe be covered in a “historical Tunk bicycles” episode later on. Still we would not recommend the Hike-Use primarily for this kind of use, as a sturdier, heavier and stiffer frame would still probably be more optimal. But then that frame will feel less lively and possibly less fun and fast when unloaded. Everything in bike design, or any design really, is a compromise.
